The countdown is on to the official release of The Nightmare Bug which comes out in September! Since SOAR came out during the pandemic, Angie and I weren’t able to participate in a normal book launch but all of that is changing with the release of The Nightmare Bug.
In fact, we recently were interviewed on ABC27’s Good Day PA Author Spotlight which was such a blast! We ended up doing it virtually but it was still a really wonderful way to kick off the book. It was a fun way to set the stage explaining the story of the nightmare bug as well as some of the beautiful illustrations Angie created. We recently participated in an interview for an article in our local Lititz Record Express highlighting the book as well.
In the coming months we have several other in-person events happening which will allow us the opportunity to interact with kids in person instead of over the computer this time around. I am excited to seeing their faces as I take them on the journey of the small child looking to defeat their nightmare bug. I am excited to share the beautiful illustrations that so perfectly capture my words and help the story come to life. I am excited to be in the company of people again and share something that I have spent so much time creating and pouring my heart into. I am especially excited to explain to children battling nightmares that I can relate and sympathize with them, and hope this story helps them overcome their own personal nightmares.
Some of the places you can find me in the coming months are listed below. I hope you come out to meet Angie and I, and to hear the story of The Nightmare Bug.
- September 9 from 6-8 pm at Aaron’s Books in Lititz
- October 7 from 5-8 pm at Nook Books in Lancaster
- October 10 and 14 from 10-11 am at Lancaster Cupcake (participants will get to hear The Nightmare Bug and then decorate a nightmare bug themed cupcake)
